OakStreet Property Management was founded on the belief that a property management
company should be more than just a vendor—it should be a true partner to landlords, invested in

long-term value of their properties. Our hands-on, proactive approach ensures that each property
is managed with the same care and attention as if it were our own. We believe that strong tenant

The OakStreet Story
Our founder and Broker of Record, Jason Henckel, didn’t set out to become a property manager—he set out to solve a problem. With a background in banking, corporate management, mortgage lending, and real estate investing, he experienced firsthand how some traditional property management firms did not align with the needs of landlords and investors.
Many management companies operated as vendors, not true partners—lacking local expertise, failing to act with urgency, and making decisions that didn’t prioritize an owner’s best interests.
Jason saw an opportunity to build something better: a firm that combined operational efficiency with the same care and strategic mindset that an investor would have for their own properties.
In 2019, he left the corporate world to launch a property management company that serves as a true partner to property owners—focused on maximizing rental income, preserving property value, and delivering hands-on, proactive service. What started as a vision quickly grew into a thriving business, now managing hundreds of properties across New Jersey.
In 2023, the company rebranded as OakStreet Property Management, reflecting our commitment to strength, longevity, and a localized, hands-on approach to property management.
Today, OakStreet continues to grow, offering investor-minded management, scalable systems, and local expertise—ensuring every property is managed as if it were our own.
